Nissan Micra new generation will be released next year
Nissan is pushing ahead with a new generation of the Micra, aiming to introduce it next year and fix the poor sales record of its smallest model. Apparently, the car will debut at the Paris Motor Show as a 2017 model, with sales starting next year. Colleagues from the leading English automotive publication suggest that the model shown with their visualization has a sportier look and more radical design than the current model.
Last year, the Sway concept was shown at the Geneva Motor Show, giving a first glimpse of what the new Micra might look like. It is assumed that the production model will take a lot from the design of this concept.
The new Micra will be an era longer, wider and lower than the current one, with longer headlights and a V-shaped front. It will be much longer, the pages will be more embossed, and overall it will give the car a really sportier look. Recent paparazzi photos confirm this trend, despite the camouflage. The model has a green light and a fast track for the pipeline due to the poor performance of the current model in Europe. Although it was launched as a global model, the new one was created with the brand's European customers in mind.
Together with the new generation Juke, the new small Nissan will use the Renault-Nissan CMF-B global alliance platform and, like the Juke, the Micra will seek out younger customers with a wide range of exterior colors. and interior decoration. Individualization in MINI style.
On the interior, Nissan will offer a host of upgrades to help this model compete on par with new models coming to the segment in 2017, such as the next VW Polo and Kia Rio. Materials are more pleasant to the touch, and leather upholstery will also be offered in the top configuration. The smartphone-connected infotainment system will also be new.
The car will have room for a range of new Nissan safety assistance systems, including emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and traffic sign recognition. This makes the swing more practical and safer, while the longer wheelbase provides more interior space.
The CMF-B platform allows for the same engines as the new Juke, starting with a small 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and even including a 1.5-litre diesel, not to mention a 1.6-litre engine. a 190 hp liter petrol turbo engine, and a hybrid version is also possible.
