Opel Insignia now with latest generation infotainment systems
Rüsselsheim. Opel's flagship now offers excellent in-flight communication and entertainment experiences - the personal communications and mobility services system and the Navi 900 IntelliLink infotainment system with smartphone integration capability offer even more flexible and faster infotainment experiences and offerings in the Opel Insignia (www.opelbook.ru/en/insignia). Connecting the Opel OnStar system to the Internet and calculating the navigation system are now performed in real time - even short periods of waiting for a selected new route to load are a thing of the past.
“The Opel brand is in an excellent position in terms of in-car connectivity. This is especially true for both the Insignia and the new generation of Astra and ADAM, the pioneer of IntelliLink systems. Our flagship is now available with Opel OnStar and state-of-the-art Navi 900 IntelliLink. This will allow us to quickly and easily integrate smartphone functions via Apple CarPlay and, very soon, Android Auto. This is a mobile connectivity opportunity that makes sense and delights consumers,” said Peter Christian Kuspert, Vice President Sales and Aftermarket, Opel Group.
Superior individual mobility - integration of smartphone features into the brand's flagship
The latest generation of the Navi 900 IntelliLink system guarantees superior personal entertainment. Compatible with the Apple iPhone 5 (or later), the Insignia seamlessly transfers your entire personal world stored in your smartphone's memory and apps. Drivers get access to Apple CarPlay navigation maps and news services as soon as they connect. In addition, additional applications can be controlled using the Siri eyes free voice command function or using the 8-inch touch screen on the center console.
Each system is based on the apps that smartphone users rely on the most. Apple CarPlay brings together the iPhone features and functionality you'd like to access while driving and displays them on your dashboard screen in a smart and accessible way. This allows drivers to make phone calls, send and receive messages, and listen to music with a touch of the touch screen or a Siri command. Apple CarPlay apps include phone, messaging, maps, music, and compatible third-party apps. A complete list of these apps can be found online at apple.com/ios/carplay.
The latest generation Navi 900 IntelliLink also offers the ability to customize the cover page and select favorites. There are 60 places to store your favorite radio stations, contacts, addresses, phone numbers, artists and playlists. To minimize driving distractions, the most important information from IntelliLink is displayed on the central control unit on the dashboard between the speedometer and tachometer dials. In addition, the driver and passenger can view video images on the 8-inch screen in the center console thanks to the USB connection - of course, for safety reasons, this function is only active when the car is stopped.
The Navi 900 IntelliLink system is offered at prices ranging from BGN 2,495 to BGN 2,935 (recommended price with VAT) depending on the equipment level.
State-of-the-art architecture - thanks to the Opel OnStar, the Insignia now has a Wi-Fi hotspot.
In addition, the Insignia is available in 13 countries in Western Europe as standard from Edition version and with Opel OnStar. The built-in 4G/LTE mobile architecture turns Opel's flagship into a powerful mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. A dedicated external antenna improves mobile phone connectivity and provides a stable internet connection to up to seven connected devices in the car.
A full range of services is the heart and soul of the system of personal communication and mobile services. These range from 24-hour automatic crash response to competent theft support and roadside assistance to remote vehicle diagnostics. All these services are available at the touch of a button thanks to the system's own SIM card - a smartphone is not required to operate OnStar. On the other hand, you will need a smart mobile device to use the MyOpel smartphone app. This allows OnStar subscribers to call for help when they are away from the car to lock or unlock doors or access important vehicle information.
