The latest generation of the Navi 900 IntelliLink system guarantees superior personal entertainment. Compatible with the Apple iPhone 5 (or later), the Insignia seamlessly transfers your entire personal world stored in your smartphone's memory and apps. Drivers get access to Apple CarPlay navigation maps and news services as soon as they connect. In addition, additional applications can be controlled using the Siri eyes free voice command function or using the 8-inch touch screen on the center console.
Each system is based on the apps that smartphone users rely on the most. Apple CarPlay brings together the iPhone features and functionality you'd like to access while driving and displays them on your dashboard screen in a smart and accessible way. This allows drivers to make phone calls, send and receive messages, and listen to music with a touch of the touch screen or a Siri command. The latest generation Navi 900 IntelliLink also offers the ability to customize the cover page and select favorites. A dedicated external antenna improves mobile phone connectivity and provides a stable internet connection to up to seven connected devices in the car.
A full range of services is the heart and soul of the system of personal communication and mobile services. These range from 24-hour automatic crash response to competent theft support and roadside assistance to remote vehicle diagnostics. All these services are available at the touch of a button thanks to the system's own SIM card - a smartphone is not required to operate OnStar. On the other hand, you will need a smart mobile device to use the MyOpel smartphone app. This allows OnStar subscribers to call for help when they are away from the car to lock or unlock doors or access important vehicle information.
